Enhanced Elastic Opening: The 1/2″ wide elastic face opening stretches a full 25% more than conventional hoods, making donning easier while ensuring a secure seal around SCBA masks.

Carbon Shield™ fabric represents a breakthrough in flame-resistant technology. Unlike traditional materials that char and shrink within seconds, this carbon fiber-based fabric maintains dimensional stability for over 90 seconds at temperatures exceeding 2,300°F. It simply won’t burn in air, providing critical extra escape time in the most severe exposures.

All seams are sewn with 100% Nomex® thread (Tex 40), and the face opening is double cover-stitched to maintain its shape through countless wash cycles. The UL Certified FR label includes a “Property Of:” field for permanent identification with laundry marker.
