This carbon fiber-based fabric represents a breakthrough in flame-resistant technology. When exposed to extreme heat, Carbon Shield™ won’t burn in air and maintains structural integrity for over 90 seconds at temperatures exceeding 2,300°F. The fabric’s excellent moisture regain (≈8%) actively wicks sweat away, keeping instructors cooler during extended training sessions.

Professional-Grade Construction

Manufactured in Green Lake, Wisconsin, every Cobra™ Instructor hood features six-thread flat-seam construction (stitch type 607) for major seams, reinforced with additional cover-stitching for durability. The face opening uses X-heavy 1/2″ elastic that stretches 25% more than conventional hoods, and all seams are sewn with 100% Nomex® thread (Tex 40) for maximum heat resistance.
