Proven Performance: Tested to exceed NFPA 1971 requirements with TPP ratings of 31.2–33.1 and burst strength of 411 N—nearly double the minimum standard.

X-Heavy Elastic Opening: The 1/2″ wide elastic stretches to a full 16″, making it easy to put on while ensuring a secure seal around your SCBA mask.

Contoured Shoulder Design: Notched shoulders and a tapered back allow the bib to lie flat, preventing bunching under your turnout coat.

Moisture Management: With approximately 8% moisture regain, the Carbon Shield™ fabric actively pulls sweat away from your skin, keeping you drier and more comfortable.

This revolutionary carbon fiber-based fabric represents a breakthrough in flame-resistant technology. Unlike traditional materials that char and shrink within seconds of flame exposure, Carbon Shield™ maintains its integrity for over 90 seconds at temperatures exceeding 2,300°F. It won’t melt, drip, or deposit tar-like residues that can increase burn severity.

Professional-Grade Construction

Every Cobra™ Ultimate hood is manufactured in Green Lake, Wisconsin using premium materials and construction techniques. All seams are sewn with 100% Nomex® thread (Tex 40) and assembled with flat-seam stitching (type 607) for comfort and durability. The face opening is reinforced with a double cover-stitch to maintain its shape through countless washes.
